Jenni:  Mommy to one, Wife to an Active Duty Soldier. I'm a stay at home mom who was looking for a way to earn a little extra money, but wanted to do something I enjoyed doing with my sister and friends. Thus, Hero On My Shoulder was born. I love just about any kind of craft there is, as well as baking, as you may have guessed. I have worked in many different areas, including most recently, Nursery Director for our church in Killeen, in Education as an At-Risk Math Aide, a Paralegal, and an Interior Decorator for Sherwin Williams. I am basking in the opportunity to stay home with my 2 year old. This past October, the Army relocated my family to the beautiful island of Oahu, and we are LOVING it! I do miss Fort Hood, but only the friends and loved ones we have there... lol Anything else you want to know, you are just going to have to come right out and ask! HUGS!! Kristy:   Kristy...the only one of us with a "real" job... just kidding. Kristy (my and Jamie's cousin) is a Teacher in the Lake Charles area. ( I would tell you the name of the school, but they are all so small there, you wouldn't know it anyway...lol) She is raising two gorgeous boys, and married to her wonderful husband, who also, is a teacher. Jamie: Jamie is a Mother of three beautiful children, (I can say that, they are my nieces and nephews!!) and Wife to an Active Duty Soldier as well. Jamie too is a stay at home mom, and shares my passion for crafts, scrapbooking and sewing.  We have been friends for over 12 years, and sisters (in law - but I hate that tag, I prefer Sister) since 2000. There really would not be aHero On My Shoulder if not for Jamie (and Steph and Kristy too, but you'll  read about them later) 90% of the Burpies were her creation, and the majority of the blankets and pillows adorn her childrens' bedrooms. Steph: Also stay at home Mommy (of 2) and Wife to Active Duty Soldier. Steph and I becane friends when our husbands were assigned to the same unit, they played softball together, and naturally, we formed a bond, which quickly pulled Jamie in as well. We are a little like the 3 Musketeers. We all three worked together in the nursery, work together to run this site, and when I was still in Texas, we were all together the majority of the time.

*News*News*News* Hello Everyone!! Just a quick note...I have a lot of changes planned for this year. I am hoping to expand my business, and add a ton of new products over the next few months. I have a lot of new patterns I am working with. I also have already lined up three craft fairs and shows. Check back for exact dates. The orders have been flying in, which while hectic, it has been an answer to prayer. At first, I was not completely sure I was going to keep the site. Thanks to everyone who has sent me numerous referrals, you are all so very much appreciated. Though the miles and ocean separate us, I will still be working with Jamie and Steph on orders, so local Fort Hood Customers, this will cut down a lot of shipping, as they are still there.
